How to password protect iMessage and other apps on Mac. How to lock apps on MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and other Mac computers easily with password? This part will show you how by walking you through the entire process of putting a password on iMessage on Mac. Download and install the Mac app locker. Set a password when asked. In Preview on your Mac, protect a PDF by adding a password that everyone must enter to open the file. See what an image looks like on another device. Apply a color profile to an image. In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF you want to password-protect. Choose File Export, then select Encrypt. But if your documents always come from reliable sources and you're running reliable antivirus software, you may prefer to turn off Protected View and save that extra step. Here's how: Step 1. Click next to the app that you want to delete, then click Delete to confirm. The app is deleted immediately. Apps that don't show either didn't come from the App Store or are required by your Mac. To delete an app that didn't come from the App Store, use the Finder instead.
Unable to find App Uninstaller. Application Uninstaller is only available as an in-app purchase if your Mac is running OS Lion (10.7) or above. Our standalone 'iBoostUp Premium' edition is available from the Mac App Store for Snow Leopard (10.6) users who would like to make use of all our premium features. See iBoostUp Premium on the Mac App Store.
That's a good thing. Fate has prevented you from installing a terrible anti-virus app on your Mac. McAfee should be avoided entirely on the Mac. It stinks.
I had sophos and iboost on computer before and I think I removed sophos completely
iBoostUp is absolute junk that should never, ever be installed on your computer. If you have installed it, you will need to find out how to remove it from the developer. Do not just drag it to the trash, unless they tell you that this fully removes it.
Regarding Sophos, that must be uninstalled using the Sophos-provided uninstaller. (It will be in your Applications folder, and will be named either Sophos Remove or Remove Sophos.) If you simply dragged the Sophos app to the trash, you did not completely remove it. You will need to reinstall it and then use the uninstaller.
Sophos is the best of the 'intrusive' class of anti-virus programs. (These are apps that have components that run in the background all the time, and that significantly modify system behaviors.) Such apps tend to be trouble, and Sophos can certainly cause problems and is not necessarily advisable, but it's far better than the alternatives. Trying to remove this in favor of McAfee is like trying to replace a car's sunroof with Saran wrap in hopes of making it more secure.
